Garmin European Online shop

I have just received an Email from Garmin stating that the fenix 5 is available in my area for ordering from their online shop. I think that the online shop is located in the UK for the french market. I followed the link. The displayed delay was between 4 and 7 days. Great! On the last page of the ordering process, i.e. that one for the payment, a new notice was displayed and it indicated that the delay to expect for the delivery is between 5 and 9 weeks ! So I decided to cancel my order. Why are these informations unreliable/not consistent ? What should I trust ?

The exact same thing happens when using the Garmin Germany webshop. Mail stated that the Fenix 5 is now available, webshop stating availability within 5-7 days, and when finalizing the purchase a delivery within 5-8 weeks is displayed. At that point I cancelled the order process. Pretty annoying to say the least.

I was surprised too about that. I placed the order on Garmin France on Th 6 Apr. I got a confirmation e-mail with a small warning at the bottom of the email stating"27-45 working days". The parcel was shipped on Fr 7 Apr with UPS from the UK and I got it on Tu 11 Apr... :)

On Saturday I order my Fenix 5 on Garmin site and today I receive email that they sent it to me by UPS from Southampton, United Kingdom - and shipment should took 2-4 days.

So now waiting, and checking UPS site ;)
