Firmware v2.90 - any changes to GPS?

Hi

Beta v2.72 firmware had notes that changes have been made to the GPS & it required a 15-minute soak.

The final v2.90 release notes have no mention of the GPS improvement or soak requirements. Are there any changes to GPS in this version & do we need to do a soak?

My f5x still have v2.50 installed

for version v2.50 it lists the following

GPS: 4.20
Display: 2.10
Wi-Fi: 2.30
CIQ: 2.2.3
BLE/ANT/SNS: 2.70
WHR: 20.03.19

what does v2.90 list?

2.90 has
GPS: 4.30
Others unchanged.

GPS version 4.30 in fw v2.90.

Nothing in the v2.90 release notes, hence my question...

Interesting difference

I am quite sure with with my F3, I would get the firmware updates over wifi and/or bt
I have not received the notification that v2.90 is available.

I've not connected to Garmin Express, because I didnt think that I needed to.

Should the update be pushed to the F5x via garmin connect?

since its a newer device, is there some setting that I missed that is prohibiting this?

Same issue here. I had to connect mine to Garmin Express. Waited a few days for Garmin Connect to acquire/push the update, but nothing ever happened. Worked right away on GE. Seems like GC doesn't function as stated with the 5X updates.

Fix loss of GPS fix in certain cases when UltraTrac is enabled.

as expected once connected to Express, got the new firmware. Strange that it wasnt pushed via wifi
