Software : 2.90
GPS : 4.30
CIQ : 2.2.3
BLE/ANT/SNS : 2.70 (had I missed that line before ?)
WHR : 20.03.19
ETE : 4.8.23.1
THA : 1.0.0.4

Let's hope Garmin have sorted the GPS multipath issues, will doing some testing tomorrow vs the FR235.
  • Ohhhh, GPS 4.3. Let the kvetching begin ;)

These are getting pushed out over the air? Hopefully this will be rectified in the future
  • I promise that I will keep my kvetching to the Ant+ connectivity issues I am now plagued by :(

Stryd and Stages so far do not stay connected at all.

Stryd is believed to be a software issue that is being looked at / fixed, the Stages may be an issue of the already weak Stages ANT+ signal paired with a less sensitive antenna in the Fenix 5 series. Try bluetooth to see if that helps for the Stages.
  • Where are you getting your info about Stryd? What software do you mean?

Regarding Stages, BT is not a great option but will guve it a try probably. Same exact power meter had no issues with fenix 3 or 735XT with only minor dropouts. With f5 it is 90% disconnected.

DCRainmaker said Stryd worked during the beta of the watch until just a few weeks before launch where something in a firmware update somewhere broke the Stryd integration. The parties involved Garmin and Stryd are aware and working on it.

I am still on 2.4, but just got an update for the GPS... now it says GPS is 0.0?
    What happened?

There's nothing listed as fixed or improved for GPS 4.3 in the release notes. Must me a placebo update.

Ok thought you had some first hand information. I have been talking with Stryd directly on this already.
They have had 2 releases now if it was just an easy fix.

No idea if it's easy but bottom line is it worked for quite some time before something broke it. That gives me hope it isn't something that can't be fixed and is not hardware related. Hopefully Garmin keeps the updates coming or perhaps something Stryd can do on their end. I don't think there will be an obvious fix coming for Stages sadly unless than release a 3rd generation version with a stronger signal. 4iiii on the crank has no such problems.
  • Anyone have trouble with their HRM Run chest strap after updating to 2.90? Mine doesn't even show up in the sensors settings and the watch can't seem to find it whatsoever! :(
