Best way to collect ephemeris data?

I just received my 5x and uploaded the 2.72 beta. The instructions say to let the watch collect gps data for 15 mins. What is the best way to do this? GPS is not automatically turned on with the watch.

Just go outside and start any outdoor activity eq. runing for 15 min.
