Fenix 5X - swimming issue

Hi everyone, I'm a regular swimmer and facing issue with my new Fenix 5X that i never experienced with my previous Fenix3.
It's quite simple but very annoying. First swimming pool session, the Watch simply recorded nothing except the timing : no strokes, swolf, no Kcal burned, number of lenghts, Nothing except a basic chrono / duration of the session. I called garmin and made a hard reset, loosing everything but after that it worked smoothly for one complete week.
Unfortunately, today again, same happened => 2400m and no data at all. Tried again for 2 more lenghts and Nothing.
Anyone else experiencing the same ? i'm pretty sure it's not hardware related as it worked for one complete week (4 sessions / 10K) after the master reset.....

Interesting. I've done three swims of 104 lengths each of 25 M pool (2600 M) and mine has been right on the money so far.

Same here for the sessions that worked, they worked really fine :)

Did you enter the distance manually? Have you considered installing the 2.72 beta?

Yes i had to edit the activities and enter distance manually....will try latest Beta for sure :)

I have done at least 3 swims each at least a mile long and so far watch was spot on. Definitely worth to try 2.72.

If that doesn't do it, I would wonder about one of the accelerometers being intermittent.

Just noticed, checking the calendar for the day with "failed" swimming session that move IQ detected a 45 mn swimming session......so I guess, accelerometer worked, am i right ? Will be testing again with 2.90 but issue is random....

Hi bigbrother34820, i have just got my very 1st fenix 5x last week and i have encountered the same problem, no distance is being recorded except the time. have you finally resolving the issue by upgrading the firmware to the beta version?
