Fenix 5 - Workout heart rate alerts (beep & notif) bug?

I have a problem with the heart rate zone based workouts generated on GC, my Fenix 5 doesn't alert when I'm out of the desired zone. On my previous watch Fenix 3 this was working correctly with sound and "notification".

Is this a bug, or am I missing something in here?

Reproduce the behavior:

Plan on GC:

Heart rate zones are wrong on GC but watch still shows these correctly (based on my preferences). This training plan bug has been on GC like forever.

I've found setting a manual maximum/minimum heart rate by number (i.e. use custom, rather the zone) works - I get the alerts. This might be a suitable workaround for you until the zone alerts are working, depending on exactly what you're trying to achieve.

Maybe this issue exist because must be update zone.
IT means vo2max update threshold etc?

How many workouts takes to do vo2max and threshold?

How much we should run.

Coul you share with your experience?
10 workout 10km i belive will be enough what do you think ?

or one half marathon will be enough?

NeilJones, yes I will try that. Problem is that target zones vary on my workouts which will cause "false" alerts with static values.

Jan502, Vo2 max was shown immediately after first run. For Lactate threshold you need to run on that level (about Z4 for me). AFAIK It's based on Firstbeat algorithm. Anyway my watch has recorded both of the values. I think its not related to this bug.

Don't think that workaround will work for me either as my workouts are based on zones eg. 5 minutes zone 1, 35 minutes zone 2, 5 minutes zone 1. All zones based on lactate threshold as calculated by my previous watch (735XT). I'm gonna log it with Garmin later today, maybe you could do the same to start creating a little noise about this?

Beta Firmware 2.72 worked for me today with lactate threshold and beep & notifications about the HR doing a training plan workout. Also my manual HR alarms worked after the workout was finished. Stay tuned for the firmware update.

I have the same problem doing my first workout of my marathon training on my fenix 5s.

Can anyone confirm this problem is solved in beta 2.72??

Fantastic and thanks for letting us know. Might go with the beta release now as this is important for my 80/20 training
