All Day Heart Rate not tracking

Hi...All Day heart rate is not tracking on my new Fenix 5. Activity monitor is turned on for both the watch and the Garmin Connect app. It captured data for part of one Day last week. Any ideas? Thanks.
  • Same issue here, although I have activity tracking off.
In the watch the HR graph is tracking just fine, but when synching to GC app nothing shows up
Same with sleep tracking. I see no data in the app
I have the watch since last Saturday (April 1st)

I know this is an old thread but I am facing the same issue. Or atleast it works, and then stops working and I have to restart the watch for it to work again.
  • Same issue here. Anyone managed to fix it?

Enabling activity tracking sort it out

Old trick I'd use to get it working with my old fenix 3hr

1-turn off activity tracking for a count of 5. Make sure the OHRM light goes off then turn back on.
2-turn off the OHRM off for a count of 5. Make sure the OHRM light goes off then turn back on. Make sure the light actually is on at this point
3-back out of the menu and open the hr widget. Wait for the widget to start at least polling a number (not just it saying "measuring").
4-do something to get you actual heart rate to go up (I normally run a few flights of stairs).

I've found that after giving the OHRM something to latch onto after the reset basically acts like a slap in the face to the sensor. If all else fails do these steps after a power down of the watch.

Thank you, but I did reseted it as my friend suggested me, and it is working/syncing again. If it happens again I will try this.
I guess it stoped when I charged it, then did not back to normal.

Mine appeared to record the 4 hour heart rate but noticed today that the 7 day heart rate is blank.I then checked the app and realised that the all-day heart rate has not been syncing with Garmin connect for over a month.

I have turned the HRM off and on. Then also turned the watch off and on. It appears to have synced a data point with GC now.

Seems weird that it stopped. It has recorded HR for all my activities and as I mentioned the 4 hour HR is shown. There must be a software glitch that stops logging the HR.
