Does anybody know how to pair the Stryd footpod to their F5? I've connected as both a footpod and power in the sensors but none of the data can be seen in Garmin Connect. Anybody able to advise?
  • Thanks, so for your HM you were looking at instant or cumulative power, knowing what your limit is?

Ran a marathon today with my Stryd connected to the F5 as a footpod and set to provide speed and distance. I noticed on occasions a red triangle circulating around the pace at times, no idea why but my marathon cam up short at 26.15 miles. Dropouts? Bit gutted really as I got a big PB and my watch or GC won't recognise it. No power, vertical oscillation, ground contact time stats etc in my GC record either. Now that I've read these posts I've removed it from my paired devices as a footpod. Will try just using the data field and see what happens as suggested. Bit gutted though as the pace is apparently spot on and much better than the watch's GPS

I spoke to a Stryd support person the other day and he said that many/most users are finding that they do in fact need to apply a small calibration factor to their Garmin watches to get accurate distance. He said however that the Stryd is much more consistent from shoe to shoe and over a greater range of paces than the Garmin footpods. He said currently their is no way to apply a calibration factor when syncing only to their Power Center through their iOS app, (as opposed to through the watch, and then through GC to the Power Center,) but they do have plans to add that capability. He also mentioned that they're using IMU technology.

I should add, Stryd support is excellent.

I used 3s average. Ideal would be 3s average and lap average both. Only really had to pay attention when terrain changed as I am starting to get a feel for power output.
