I have mine paired to my 735XT and have never had more than an odd dropout for very short periods of time.
On the 735XT the data has been great and I use that data all the time.
My comment was regarding the fenix 5 only and it's issue with maintaining the connection, or in recording and reporting the ConnectIQ data.
Just to be clear for everyone, when you pair it as a footpod it still records all the ConnectIQ data including Power in your running data and reports it on Garmin Connect. The only reason to ever pair it as a Power Meter was initially when they shipped there was not ConnectIQ datafield or App and for Garmin watches only, as they do not support running power natively, you had to pair it as a Power Meter and then use Cycling activity if you wanted running power data.
The Stryd Foot Pod is one of the best investments I have made in running tools after my 735XT and I get a lot of value form the data and most recently paced a Half Marathon on running power only and had a very successful race hitting my planned finish time almost exactly.

Does anybody know how to pair the Stryd footpod to their F5? I've connected as both a footpod and power in the sensors but none of the data can be seen in Garmin Connect. Anybody able to advise?
Sounds interesting, did you write about it somewhere in the forums? Does it gave you a sense of total power expenditure, or just instant?
