So I just finished my weight lifting session a few hours ago and noticed the lackluster data it provided...

Just wondering what I'm doing wrong, since I just got my watch yesterday and this is my first garmin fitness device, any tips will greatly be appreciated.
I was thinking do I need to create a custom workout through garmin connect? it just seems like a huge hassle :/

I'll try running tomorrow and will see how that goes.

cheers guys.

Forgot to mention my resting HR is 43, so it might seem that I'm putting low effort but it really takes a lot of effort to get my HR going.
  • Your activity is private, but I haven't had much luck with the wrist-based HR and strength training. I use a Schosche optical sensor worn just below my elbow or a chest strap. Either one gets much more accurate readings. The chest strap works much better if the workout involves a lot of tight grip work, such as heavy deadlifts.

Ops, activity should be public now. I get that wrist base HR are terrible but compared to the data from Fitbit it seems like I'm doing something wrong...

    Nope.. still can't access it..
What sort of data are you looking for? Your Fitbit data also only showed HR and Cal burned.

Which chest strap would you recommend? I currently have a Schosche but do a lot of deadlifting
  • I use the current Garmin one, since I have it for running.
