Buttons loose on Fenix 5X

Has anyone else experienced this phenomenon yet? I'm just wondering if it's worth taking mine back. Three of my buttons are looser and feel more like a double click. The other two buttons (light & back) feel like a firm single action.

Do any of you guys experience this with your 5X? I guess mine could just be defective, though seems unlikely to have three defective buttons. Especially when paying these dollars...

I cannot say any of my buttons are looser than others, although they do seem to have a strange clicking action. The first time I press them it does feel like it is doing a double click, but click again and it seems like a single click. Leave it a while and it goes back to that double click upon the first click. All my buttons feel the same though and I had not noticed this until your post and I paid more attention when pressing them.

I think you are feeling 2 things when you press the button.

1) spring press for the external button. Depending on friction, this may feel initially like a "click". When the spring has settled, it will initially feel like a click but will be smooth if pressed immediately again
2) the click of the tiny circuit board button. Usually this is a tiny black button under the outer button on the board that actually clicks and makes contact.

If you mean the buttons are jiggling loosely when you don't press down but gently wiggle from side to side, that doesn't happen with mine and that would be a little bothersome.

Although it's 2 years ago, but I read your post today and my Fenix 5x plus buttons have very same feeling as you described.

I am not sure this "behaviour" on the buttons is correct or not.

Is your buttons still working well? Or you asked for a replacement?
