New bug introduced in fw 2.4 regarding motion & backlight

Hi!

Got my Fenix 5sapphire today and one of the coolest features was that I could turn on backgroundlight based on motion. this is same feature the Fitbit has.

If I move my hand in a certain pattern, (like you do when you want to check out what time it is) the backlight turn on automatically

This worked great on Fw 2.00, but I updated to fw 2.4 and now the feature do not work anymore
I tried to toggle the setting on/off but no luck

Do anyone else got this to work on fw 2.4 ? Can I downgrade back to 2.0?
Garmin has great hardware but must have the worst betatesters.

Or it could be user error? ;-)

is your Do Not Disturb active? This will stop the gesture control working (so the backlight doesn't come on when your asleep etc)

Being a "betatester" for the Fenix 3 when it was released really got me to jump to the wrong conclusion to fast.

You are correct, it was a user error and because of the "do not disturb" (I didn't know about that feature, must have turned it on by mistake)

Sorry garmin. No bug regarding this.

These are new devices. Why do people think that just because something doesn't work that it's a bug? Why not simply ask a question first to see if anyone else has the problem? After reading the manual and checking through the device first of course.
