Durability of bezels

Although I know it's early, but is there a general consensus as to which of the bezels – silver, slate gray or black – is likely to be more durable? Based on what I've read, I'm less concerned with scratches on the screen and more concerned with scratching of the bezel.

My guess is that silver will likely be less prone to showing scratches, but I'm not sure how I feel about the gray watch body.
  • Only bezel and back side are metal, the watch case is plastic, if I'm not mistaken. And yes, based on F3 reports, scratches are less visible on silver one.

Edit: Ah, I probably misunderstood you. You meant, you don't like gray body on the silver F5, not that you are afraid of scratching it.
  • I'm going to guess the silver bezel will show the least amount of damage. Scratches and scuffs, yes, but any coating will likely show as a hardly noticeable blemish. The grey and black, however, I'd bet those will get beat up fairly easy. I reserved a grey/black F5 at REI, went into the store to pickup, and upon opening the box I noticed the bezel already had a chipped spot. Luckily they had more in stock, so it was swapped.
  • Thanks for the feedback. Looking at the combinations again, I decided to stick with the original plan and go for the silver with granite blue band.

If my wrist was big enough for the F5, I would definitely go with the silver/granite blue. Looks stunning and makes the F5 also a great every day watch. Good choice!
