Well, as of now, the Fenix 5. Right size, better OHRM, better GPS than the others. Of course the S3 has more smartwatch features, but I can live without it.
Tried hiking a small track today. Fenix 5 gave me direction alerts within 1-2 meters spot on. GPS track is a little bit better than the F3, especially in the corner cutting. Also the F5 did well in the forest (no leafs though). So, I give it a thumbs up.
The new UI of the F5 and the customization with hotkeys and quick menu makes life easier compared to the F3.
Do you like the size decrease of the 3 to the 5? I ended up returning my 5 because it felt too small and went back to 3hr and find I miss the interface and shortcuts and bold text of the 5 over the 3.

Nope! It's the grey one... The F3 is silver. Seems like the photo is lighter than reality.
Here is a strange question I hope you can help with.
If you are recording exercise with the Gear, it shouldn't auto turn off when you stop, right? It should wait for you to turn off the recording?
A friend of mine got the Gear S2 (hoping their close) mainly for exercise purposes. I told her not to count on the auto-detect, but to turn on recording, but yesterday I think the watch auto stopped her workout when she stood still for about 40 seconds. Heh.
