Watch face that actually shows real time heart rate?

I've tried a good number of watch faces and none of them show the heart rate in real time. There is usually a delay of about a minute to take the reading from the Fenix (which is reading it constantly) and display it on the third party watch faces. This long delay makes the metric shown on the watch face pretty useless. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Reason is watchfaces aren't allowed to take realtime hr measurements afaik, so they are limited to showing the hr stored in history. I think there are a few connect-iq apps which act as watchfaces (but as a result draw way more battery), at least for other watches, but as mentioned. For watchfaces themselves it's a technical limitation opposed by garmin.
  • most watchfaces updates every min to save battery. if you want realtime stuff on your display you are going to need to charge the devices more often.
It has nothing to do with the actually readings of HR, before as a developer you couldnt even display seconds on your custom watchface.

At least it should suffice as a resting heart rate reading when you wake up in the morning, cause the reading you see immediately after you wake up, will be from 2 minutes ago when you were still sleeping perfectly still. :)
  • Watch faces are only allowed to update once a minute.
There is an allowance for second hands to update faster in a "high power" mode but this is only triggered when you raise the watch to check the time, and only if the developer has enabled it.
I haven't read the Monkey C documentation for a while so it may have changed but I don't think you were allowed to check ant+ sensors in real time with a watch face (The optical HRM is classed as an ant+ sensor).

The only way AFAIK to get real time readings is to use an App, but then as people say your battery life will suffer greatly as a result.
