I've had the 5X now for over a week and I'm liking the new performance widget. It's a nice place to quickly find out your recovery time etc. Over this last week, the watch has calculated all the stuff it needs, I now get VO2 Max, Recovery time with recommended training advice, training load, and lastly, race predictions all through the widget. What I don't get is any data on the first screen of the widget. It just says training status unavailable. It's been like that since day one, and even though other data has been populated, which is accessed by pressing the start button, the main page tells me nothing. Do I just need to wait longer?
I've not seen anything different to that either. Although this will not be helped by my needing to do a hard reset on Friday which will have reset all the previous data.
Well I'm nearly two weeks in now and I train most days, Crossfit, Kayaking, Mountaineering, Strength training, (not running) and I still have nothing showing on the main screen. "Training status unavailable"
What am I missing? Can someone who has the performance widget working tell me what it displays when it's finally ready?
Is this performance data transferable to another Fenix? I have had an F5 that has began to develop this data after a week of ownership as well, but I'm thinking about returning it and going to a an F5x. Don't want to start from scratch again. Something that I can do with files when plugged into my Mac?
My training status appeared after a week - it is currently "Peaking" Fitness going up, and load currently down (I guess as it's the beginning of my training week).
I believe i read somewhere that it takes at least a week to start giving you anything and about a month before it is starting to become accurate. That being said, I have still never been able to get a lactate threshold number on my F3HR or a valid VO2max number. Hoping the 5X does a better job of this when it finally is for sale from Garmin so that I can order one.
