As the title says, anyone know if we'll see "licensed" quickfit bands? I'd imagine we'll see knockoffs if the watch gets popular, but it would also be nice if legit manufacturers could give us some additional band options outside what Garmin plans on providing.
I've been wondering this as well... I've gotten used to my third party band(s) on my 3 and don't feel like going back to the boring Garmin selection for the 5x. Until then I'm just using my non quick fit 3 band on my 5x
I won't think that they will license it, because they sell their quick fit for a lot of money (49€) - I think they have production costs from about 2€ and won't let a third party company sell a quick fit strap much cheaper as 49€...
I doubt they'll license it. Not because they wouldn't consider it, but because the licensing fee is likely to be quite high and they'll have a vested interest in ensuring that licensed products sell for a premium.
That'll mean few companies will be interested in licensing it.
