A bug after clicking resume later

I'm not sure if my unit is defective or if this is a bug. I clicked the walk activity, walked for about a mile, then paused it and clicked resume later. A short while after, I resumed the activity, and when I got home and looked at Garmin Connect, the latter part of the walk was missing. I tried this again, and this time, the latter part of the walk is there but there's severe errors like the GPS signal is missing in places (a straight line goes from a to b). I checked for the GPS thing to go green before I walked anywhere. I didn't experience these problems with the previous model.

I have my watch set to record every second, with GPS and GLONASS enabled. I'm 99.999999% certain this is not user error.
  • I tried it today and Resume Later function worked fine.

How long was it paused for? Btw, I'm based in the UK. I don't know if this effects European models only, but someone else has reported a problem with resume later.
  • There is another similar report over on the F5/5s forum here https://forums.garmin.com/showthread.php?371929-GPS-Accuracy&p=961409#post961409 but, as I've now found out, the poster was experiencing this issue when pausing an UtraTrac activity and not using the Resume Later. So he pressed the stop/start button to pause, did some stuff, then selected Resume, but the GPS track didn't record from that point on (pace and distance did display though - but I think they are internal accelerometer derived when using LiveTrac anyway). I've been able to replicate the pause-resume issue in one of two quick tests, so there is some sort of bug worth following up there. I couldn't find anything wrong with Resume Later during UltraTrac on my F5 though (accept that the 5X may be different here).

Thanks for the helpful post, I checked out the other thread too. I'm going to try different apps instead of always using "walking", and I'll try ultratrac just to see what results I get. I might also try disable glonass.
