Wifi Issues

I have a 5 Sapphire and have it set up to wifi. I had it working fine last night then today when I tried to sync I today I got a "Network error please try again later" message.

Deleted the watch from Garmin Express. Added it back. Watch synced via wifi.

Left the house for 2 hours, came back, attempted to sync via wifi and got the same message.

Any ideas why it will work, but then stop working just a few hours later?
  • My 3HR did the same thing sometimes and my fenix 5 has also done it twice.. When it happens I just WiFi sync again and it usually works on the 2nd or 3rd attempt,.. At times it works on the 1st go and on others it does not..

    I don't think this is a 5 only issue as my 3HR acted in the same manner..
  • for some reason express wasn't saving my wifi password. i closed the program, restarted. deleted the watch again. and this time it seems to be keeping the password, we'll see.

    not sure if this is the root of the problem. we'll see if it happens agian
  • My new Fenix 5 Sapphire has done the same on my last runs. But then again, my Forerunner 630 used to do it also. As mentioned, if I synch it manually again its usually fine. Bit of a pain though considering the main feature of the WiFI is for the watch to auto sync your run for you as soon as you get home and into your WIFI zone.
