Activities Not Syncing to Strava?

Anyone else experiencing this? I've just recorded my second activity and it failed to auto sync to Strava. I downloaded the original FIT file and tried to manually upload to Strava but it was rejected as a "bad/corrupt" file. I exported my activity as TCX and was able to upload without issue.

I should mention GC was able to synced to TrainingPeaks without issue.

I am premium member of Strava and my F5 can auto sync with Strava without any problem.

Not sure if this will help, but in GCM, goto Settings > 3rd Party Apps > Strava and see if it got a green tick ?

    Hope this help ... cheers

I'm having problems with swimming activities not syncing to Strava, running ok but swim not good.

Have you used any CIQ data that wrote into FIT file?

I have a similar issue - but only for swimming activities. Runs sync fine, but swims don't. Trying to manually upload the fit file gives the corrupt file message.

Anybody else has the same problem? Any ideas how to fix it?
  • Contact Strava and ask them what they are doing about it. If it's working at the Garmin end, Garmin won't be interested. My understanding was that there has been a change to the.fit file format recently. Possible that this affects the newer devices - seems alright with my 920 - as there are similar problems being reported in the 820 threads.
