So I have some random questions in no particular order. Hopefully some of you with past Garmin experience can enlighten me:
1. When I go to a run activity, then navigation, then course and hit start: one of the added data screens is the virtual partner. What time am I running against here? In this particular case the course was created from a previous activity but I know you can also create courses manually in garmin connect and sync them to the watch. The time it listed on the virtual partner screen didn't appear to be the time I ran the activity that the course was originally created from.
2. What's the best way to run a course over and over and have the virtual partner screen race against your best time every time? Should I just create a segment that is basically the entire course and then the watch will automatically detect the segment and race it? Or, should I just go into training > race and activity and use that? The second method seems a little cumbersome since I'd have to always scroll back to the last time I ran that particular course in the activity screen. This obviously ties back into question #1... if I use navigate, then course, am I racing my best time on that course?
3. Just adding the virtual partner data screen to the run activity and selecting a pace doesn't seem to be working for me. The time ahead just stays 00:00 and I never get "behind" or "ahead" of the virtual partner. Seems like a big. Could someone else try it?
The manual doesn't really go into detail on any of these topics. Thanks for any help.
