Fenix 5 & Concept2 PM5/Erg iOS app

Don't appear to be able to get the Erg data app used in conjunction with Concept2 rower to pick up the HR broadcast from the Fenix 5. I Know it's a long shot but has anyone else tried this and got it working?

I can use an HR strap and will ultimately probably do so but managed to get the above working previously with my Vivoactive HR.

I'm not clear, are you trying to re-broadcast your HR from your f5 to your Concept2, which will then in turn rebroadcast everything to the Erg Data app (IIRC), or are you trying to rebroadcast your HR directly to the app on your phone?

And to add to that, remember that the f5 will only rebroadcast HR over ANT+, not BLE and your iPhone can't receive ANT+, only BLE.

The Concept PM5 head unit does, however, receive HR from both ANT+ and BLE so your heartrate needs to go f5 > PM5 > iPhone App

I've just checked that my PM5 can detect the rebroadcast HR from my f5, and it does so just fine.

Yes it was to broadcast to my PM5 which would then be picked up by the Erg app on my iphone.

Set this up with an external HM and it worked...

Think this was my fault having forgotten how to do it so was looking at the app initially rather than setting up through the PM5....doh.

Not tried agin with the a Fenix directly but believe it will be fine, my fauly, apologies.

No problem - good luck. One day maybe Garmin and Concept will actually get the two things working with each other. In the meantime, take a look at the PainSled app for iOS.

I've never used it myself but I know people use it on other garmin watches.
