Map display when following a course

I went out for the first time with the 5X today on a hike and all good except the map display has one third of the screen hidden by a data field with a chequered flag and the distance remaining to finish the course.

Is there any way to turn this off as I have that data on another screen and I would much prefer to use the whole screen for the map. Seems very odd to add nice detailed colour maps and then hide one third of them with superfluous data.

It is possible to place on the map: 2, 1 or 0 fields.

This is a slight bug,.. However..

You can't get rid of the finish time.. So.. Long press and enter the edit facility.. Delete the map.. Then add a new map with no fields.. Worked for me.

If you do a navigation on a routeable map, this field is there by default and you can`t disable it (or I did not find it).

We are talking about this?

Yes that's the problem

As I said before.. delete the existing map data screen and add another new map.. problem fixed.

settings -> Activities & Apps -> Run -> Run Settings -> Data Screens -> Scroll until map displayed, edit it -> Layout. Now you can select how many data fields you want on top of the map. You want none.

I have already enabled a map data screen with "0" data fields and I am talking about this: if I navigate to a destination on a routeable map, I will get this data field by default. No matter if I remove the map data field (already set to "0") and replace it through a map data screen with "0" data fields...

Move to the map, long press
Don't edit the map.. remove it.
Now add a new map with no field.

Worked for me.

If you are Navigating and not running then your activity is "navigate" so go to navigate settings and not run settings.

Do you know if it is possible for the 5X to just use the breadcrumb trail navigation (instead of map display) which you got on the 3 or I expect what is still on the 5/5S?
