Do I need screen protector?

Im gonna buy 5x sapphire metal. Im wondering if I should order screen protector?

The sapphire glass is very resistant, but to feel more save, I use a screen protector for my 5x. It's an expensive toy, so I spent some more money....

What is the precise display/crystal size on the 5x? I believe te F3 was 38mm so when you ordered screen protectors, that was the magic number. what is it for F5x?

I had garmin fenix 3 base (without wrist HR) model and bought IQ Shield Garmin Fenix 3 Screen Protector (IQ Shield LiQuid Skin 6 Pack) at that time. I upgraded to fenix 5x a month ago and same product works perfectly on 5x screen and I love it. I strongly suggest that for you. US Amazon sells it for $7.85.

YMMV, but...

I've had my Fenix3 Sapphire since April 2015 and have dropped it, fell with it on, scuffed it against doors and walls, and all the other things that happen with an every-day-wear watch. The bezel has some very faint cosmetic marks -- but the glass itself is 100% scratch free and when I buy my Fenix 5X I don't plan to use a screen protector.
