Audio Prompt nor working in iPhone7

Hi there,

I am beginning to feel that there's many bugs in the Fenix 5 that now it is making the watch very unpredictable.

For a start, as in the other thread, I am not sure when the backlight will be activated with a wrist turn. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't.

Now, I have a new problem.

All the while, my iPhone7 is connected to the watch by bluetooth and it is able to read out my HR zones. But today, for no apparent reasons, it suddenly went on strike and there's no audio on my iPhone anymore.

This is my setting, which remained unchanged all the time:
On my iPhone7, in Garmin Connect Mobile,

Device Setting > Audio Prompts

Lap Alerts = ON
Power Alerts = Off (as I don't know what this is)
Pace or Speed Alerts = Off
Hear Rate Alerts = Hear Rate Zones, Alert frequency = 3 mins

On the watch:

Settings > System > Sound

Alert = ON

So, how do I get the "announcement" back to iPhone ?

  • Force quit and restart the app. Turn off and restart the watch. Sounds like a GCM bug

    Looks like there's a lot of of bugs in GCM for Fenix

    Yes CW, the restart button did the trick.

    I have tested it again after each sync. Sometimes it worked without having to reset. But sometimes, I have to restart the watch.

    The thing is, I am not sure when it the Audio will or will not come out ... and this makes the F5 very unpredictable (and thus not reliable) for me ... it's kinda based on luck ...

    Any setting that I missed out ?

    @Robin-BH-KHO, if you see the audio prompts going away again, please note the day and time that this occurred and follow the instructions below using GCM to send us more information that might help diagnose what is going on.

    iOS logs:
    1. More
    2. Settings
    3. App Diagnostics
    4. More options menu in the top right
    5. Email logs
    6. Follow onscreen prompts for default email client

    It will probably be easiest to email the logs to yourself and then forward them to [email][email protected][/email] along with any details that will be beneficial.
