How to make the Fenix 5 vibrate outside the HR zones ?

Hi all,

I have set the following in Fenix 5

Settings > Activities & Apps > Run > Run Settings > Alerts > Heart Rate

Low Alert = 144 bpm (Z3)
High Alert = 102 bpm (Z2)

At first it worked like a charm, the Fenix 5 will continue to vibrate whenever my HR is below 102 or above 144. But I don't know what happened because now instead of vibrating, it just turned on the backlight whenever my HR is below 102 or above 144 during Run activity.

Any ideas or tips is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
  • Vibration has turned off on your F5. Go into settings and reenable it. There's a bug which has been reported where, after syncing with GCM, vibration gets turned off. I reckon it'll be fixed soon.

    HTH

    CW

P.s. The backlight comes on with alerts by default so this always happened.

Thanks CW ... I have an embarrassing question. Where exactly can I find the menu to turn ON the vibration ? Thanks

I think I found another bug on wrist turn which I will post in the other thread .... thanks

    Settings: System: Sounds

    Thanks CW .... it worked

It is very irritating that this bug caused the Vibration to be off after every GCM sync. But I noticed sometimes it remained as ON but sometimes it is OFF ... I have no idea when the system will turn it off automatically & when it will not ... this makes the behaviour of F5 really unpredictable which is no good for us consumers ...

    Cheers
