Changing font size for notifications

Hi there.

I just noticed that the font for notifications on my fenix 5 Sapphire seems a little bit bigger than it was on the fenix 3. For example when my girlfriend sends me a text message, on the fenix 3 her name would fit into perfectly into one line and I would see the message below. Now, on the fenix 5, the name takes up two lines, leaving less space for the message itself. This is despite the higher resolution of the display. Everywhere else the size of the font is perfectly readable and I have not found it to be cut off anywhere, but this kind of irks me.

I have not found a way to change the font size itself anywhere in the menu or the manual. Did anybody notice something similar or does anyone know a way to change the font size?

A minor gripe of mine is that the smaller fonts on the 5 are larger than the smaller fonts on the 3 despite the higher resolution which would have made them more readable if they had been the same size. I already had to use a custom font in my apps to get the fonts small enough for them to look the same on the 5 and the 3.

So, this could well be the reason for the larger notification text size. I do not believe it is possible to configure the notification font.

My 5X is currently in a van driving round my neighbourhood while I impatiently tap my fingers waiting to load the apps to see what they really look like on the 5 rather than in the simulator.

Thought I'd add another comment after having received my watch and been using it for a few days.

The new fonts are definitely easier to read, the notifications are much clearer and no larger than before with the fenix 5 fonts. So, although I now have to use custom fonts for some small widget text, I do prefer the default fonts on the 5 vs those on the 3.

While they may be technically the same size, the face they are in boldface is what makes it appear larger for some folks. That part of it I don't mind as much as now the 'title/subject' part of the notification and the 'main body' both being bold (although I know they are slightly different sizes) makes it less clear for me over all (and not as easy to quickly determine what kind of notification it is)
