Unfortunately, while Australia seems to get equal treatment with other brands (eg. Apple), we seem to be a bit down the list with Garmin. Has anyone seen stock in Australia?
I just posted a "cut and paste" from an Australian supplier, but I got the message it needs to be approved by a moderator? Basically, they are saying 5-6 weeks.
I guess if they release a new firmware that fixes all the issues with the watch by the time they launch it in Aus then I'll be happy, but if not then it'll be a huge disappointment
Whilst all these delays are extremely annoying & completely first-world problems, I must keep reminding myself that the new watch will not make me run any better, faster or longer :)
Hope they get enough to fill all pre-orders for people. Mine will be in my hands tomorrow or the day after.
I'm in Perth and will have mine on my arm Friday arvo... only catch is I have to head to Hong Kong to pick it up from my mates place! He got it for me a few weeks back in the first HK drop.

Aren't you concern with the warranty mate? With AUS consumer protection law you can basically have a premium warranty through Garmin, not to mention RMA issues you can face. Not worth the risk for me...
Just got an email from HTA saying they are receiving the first drop from Garmin in 48 hours!!
How frustrating! I did not get an email from them, I didn't get the email about paying the balance either. I had to call when I got suspicious that units were dropping in the U.S and I hadn't heard from them. I'll be making a call then tomorrow! Can you copy and paste the email here?
I don't get the earlier Garmin update posted in this thread that it is going to be another 6 weeks for them to fine-tune the units to AU requirements? And now they are sending them to local retailers. Either different parts of Garmin have no idea about their shipment dates or we're getting some buggy units.
