yes I can use 3 connect iq data fields simultaneously on my fr735xt, so I would be surprised that the fenix5 would have less than 3 (I'd expect 3 or even more)...
As the Chronos has the public beta of basically the f5s FW (and I think it's getting the production version soon, based on what I read there), someone in that forum may know what's on it, and that might be a sign of what's on the f5s/f5. It could also be the f5x is different though.
Yes that's disappointing, the good news is that there are 32 spots (and 2MB ?) available for CIQ apps though vs 16 on the FR235/CIQ1 or even the VAHR/CIQ2.
Two on the f5, not sure about the f5x. And technically, it may have to do with memory On 2.x many devices, they can be a max of 26k while running, and that may not include what the CIQ VM needs at runtime.
That's why there are a bunch of CIQ DF's that display a ton of stuff, but in a larger DF, so it's only 1 DF of 2. On a 23x, the max for a single DF at runtime is 16k, so it's 2*26 vs 3*16, memory wise.....
What's strange is that the F5 can have 32 CIQ apps installed vs 16 on the FR235 or the VAHR (not sure about other devices) yet is still stuck at 2 simultaneously like the 235 and VAHR and most (all bar the 735 and Epix ?) other wearables apparently. Now they could have only increased the storage and not the RAM but that would be surprising. Maybe they want to play it safe for the first firmware iterations ?
I also just ran into this 2 data field limit on my Fenix 5. Really hope this limit can be increased as there are some great CIQ data fields I'd like to use simultaneously. Even just one more would be useful.
Horrible limitation, please fix it ASAP, I built a field I like a lot but I cant use it overall activities and screens, hard to believe its memory limitations, as I'm sure they can page out from memory for activities that are not running - if they can show a widget / face with 30 fields and a chart , they can show 10 / 15 fields, I do not think android or apple wearable have such limitation (hint hint)
