Number of connect-iq fields in app

Hi!

Is there any information about the max number of connect-iq fields in one app? The F3 allows only two which could be a little low...

programmed data fields, like pace averaged over 30sec, e.g.

For the F3, you can use only two of these datafields in one app together.
  • FR235 and VAHR are 2 only, have there been any Garmin devices (Edge maybe ?) that can use more than 2 CIQ DF's ?

    Watch faces from connect-IQ

    Other question:
Included activity. It is possible to use watch faces from connect-IQ?
This way he is in Epix. In F3 not. :-(

@webvan. Epix has 3 fields connect IQ.
  • There are 4 types of applications: watch faces, data fields, apps and widgets...

If you take your question literally then actually in an app you can not include any connect iq fields at all. An app is a standalone implementation that can not run other connect iq fields, you only have access to native functionality from within an app.

in data field modus (within an activity profile) you can use 2 or 3 (depending on the device) connect iq fields simultanously across the different screens you have set up (so you can use 3 in one screen together, but then you can not use connect iq fields in other screens, because the limit is reached).

On a fr735xt you can run 3 connect iq fields simultanously in data field modus, I'd expect the fenix5 to have at least that amount since it's a newer release than the fr735xt.

Garmin calls the builtin Activities "Apps" too in, for example, the settings menu.

To clarify: I meant activity as "running" e.g. as an app. This was maybe wrong.

The F3 can show only two connect-iq-data fields in one "activity". I would be happy to have three or maybe even more. I didn't know that the 735 has already three. I don't expect the f5 to have fewer... hope for the best.

I think the wearables all have a limit of 2, but the Epix might have 3 (sounds like the 735 might have 3 too). For non-wearables, I just checked the edge 520, it allows 4, and the Oregon allows 10. (not sure about the edge 820 and 1000).

yes I can use 3 connect iq data fields simultaneously on my fr735xt, so I would be surprised that the fenix5 would have less than 3 (I'd expect 3 or even more)...
