Leather Band

Does anybody know if a leather band will be available for the 5 (not s or x) and are there any marketing pictures available as I can't find any info?

Interesting. I notice it also uses the other style buckle (like the white strap) compared to the brown. Has anyone compared this buckle to the normal one?

Looks good - probably aimed at the golfers, the holes make it look sporty - would look really nice with the stainless F5.

Just looking at the images it appears thinner than the brown leather strap, would be interested to hear if that's the case.

swap the buckle

I'm not too concerned about the black buckle not matching the silver bezel. There is enough of the black casing to match the black buckle (at least this is my thinking before actually seeing it).

Bit disappointed it has a black buckle rather than silver (I have a silver Fenix). Think I'll pass on the genuine strap and hope a 3rd party offers something more suitable.

You can always swap the buckle from your Silver F5 silicone band.

Got the brown leather Garmin strap too. Swapped the black buckle on the leather band for my Silver F5's silicone strap's silver buckle, like others have done.

I like the matching look.

Nice photos, do you have any more? Expecially from the side and back of it showing the thickness of the band etc as all the photos I've see have been from straight above.
Also how does that style of buckle (the silver one) compare in design to the normal one (that seems larger). Do they both use Torx?

Also, does anyone have an idea when these might start becoming available in Europe? It seems nowhere has them at all.

That buckle is the OEM one from my Silver F5 silicone stap. The buckle on the leather is identical to the the silicone buckle. The same torx drivers that can change the strap also fit the screws on the buckle.

I did the swap of the buckle, thanks for the tip. I like the leather strap is comfortable, I was expecting it to be stiffer but it is not.

I just ordered the 5S (plus) and was disappointed to see there's no brown leather strap. :(

The 22mm leather band for the Vivomove works on the 22mm Fenix 5S. It’s less expensive than the Fenix leather band and slimmer/thinner. You have to swap out the pins since it is not a QuickFit type.
