Leather Band

Does anybody know if a leather band will be available for the 5 (not s or x) and are there any marketing pictures available as I can't find any info?

I guess this hinges on the quick fit "sockets" being available - I wonder if Garmin have a patent on the design? If so unless they are willing to make them available to 3rd parties we could be out of luck.

Bit disappointed it has a black buckle rather than silver (I have a silver Fenix). Think I'll pass on the genuine strap and hope a 3rd party offers something more suitable.

Nice spotting - I hadn't even noticed that before and I might have been gutted had I actually ordered one and then noticed after the fact.

I'm not too concerned about the black buckle not matching the silver bezel. There is enough of the black casing to match the black buckle (at least this is my thinking before actually seeing it).

I was starting to think the 22mm QuickFit leather band was merely the stuff of legend, up there with unicorns and leprechauns... then Amazon UK dropped me a shipping email yesterday and it's on my wrist as I type this!

Band is nice and thick, is a pleasant tan colour that goes well with the black/grey of the regular F5. Like any thick leather strap it will take a bit of breaking in.

Is it worth £70/$100? The quick fit system makes it worth that much for me. I'll probably only have the leather strap on if I am going out to meet clients, etc. for workouts and sleep it will be on the black rubber strap. A couple of screwdrivers are supplied in the box (presumably for older model Fenix watches owners), but I swapping it out takes me literally under 10 seconds.

Is the buckle on the leather band black, or slate grey? On the Garmin site, it looks slate grey.

The extra yellow band which came with my black sapphier F5 has a slate grey buckle. The difference is subtle, but still drives me nuts.
