For any UK and US customers, amazon.co.uk and amazon.com have the leather band (and all the other bands, inc the metal bracelet) for the F5 on pre-order.
I see the band on the Amazon UK site, but it's not available on the U.S. site. Hope it comes up soon - would like to get it at a discount like the Amazon UK site is offering.
I was starting to think the 22mm QuickFit leather band was merely the stuff of legend, up there with unicorns and leprechauns... then Amazon UK dropped me a shipping email yesterday and it's on my wrist as I type this!
Band is nice and thick, is a pleasant tan colour that goes well with the black/grey of the regular F5. Like any thick leather strap it will take a bit of breaking in.
Is it worth £70/$100? The quick fit system makes it worth that much for me. I'll probably only have the leather strap on if I am going out to meet clients, etc. for workouts and sleep it will be on the black rubber strap. A couple of screwdrivers are supplied in the box (presumably for older model Fenix watches owners), but I swapping it out takes me literally under 10 seconds.
Bit disappointed it has a black buckle rather than silver (I have a silver Fenix). Think I'll pass on the genuine strap and hope a 3rd party offers something more suitable.

That's showing as £127 for me vs £69.99 on Garmin.co.uk??
Yes, that's really weird isn't it? I think it must be because amazon have no stock. But some opportunist has got one and has listed it so it's showing that price only :confused:
Mine was a preorder from back in Feb - they must have got a few in, but not enough to satisfy their preorders. Presumably once amazon get more stock you will see the normal price from them + any other wacky prices from 3rd party sellers.
