Just like an aggravating, but anxious kid.

I was happy with my 405, then the 410, then maybe 605, 610, F2, now F3. F3 works for the most part. Its crashed on me. Its locked up on me. But I still like it. It does much more than I need, but I can live with that. the 5x does even more than I need. But I dont know if I'd like maps or not. But I do like the idea of more memory and faster processor. That spells future proof usually. I might not like mapping. Ok. so I may not use it. I might not like the OHRM, though I hope it works. If not. So be it. I really really hope it wont lock up during my next 50miler, 100k or 100miler. That really blows. It blows that I cant charge it while its on my wrist. But eh... I can hold it while charging, or faster it to my pack. Ultras are hard, holding a while during recharge. Cake. I'm excited. I'm prepping my F3 for resale, hoping to reduce the chunk the F5x is setting me back. But my preorder is in.

I also placed the order from REI on the 3/18 wanted to see whoever ships out first, still showing back ordered. I'm glad my CT order is shipping, would've had to pay $60 more with REI with tax even count into the dividend.

not yet, my ordered showed processing since yesterday. so I called CT this morning and they said "processing" means my watch has arrived and ready to ship. They also confirmed it with my order number that it'll get ship out today. So yours should probably get shipped today as well.

Got my 5x, so now I have something substantive to talk about. I got it from Holabird sports, ordered online at 8pm, it shipped the next day.

Like others have said, the charging cable is only 2 feet long. Won't reach from an outlet to my night stand. After paying $700, it's shameful for Garmin to save 10 cents on a USB cable. I've got an extender which I'll have to remember to take on trips, because charging in a hotel room will likely result in it hanging from the wall behind the bed or something.

Haven't done anything with it yet. Garmin Connect on my Android phone seems to be stuck in sync. It paired ok. Shows 80% charge out of the box. I'm going to charge to 100% before using it.

I like the feel of the button press much better on this than the F3. F3 had kind of a cheap, crunchy feel.

I have a sapphire 3x. There have already been pictures posted, but if anyone wants to see something in particular I'll try to oblige.

And now I see the really long sync was due to a software update being pushed.

Evergreen Mt. Sports shipped mine yesterday

After pre-ordering mine on Amazon back on January 10th and then REI at the same time early last week on the 20th and not getting anywhere, I ordered a 5x with a rubber band on Saturday evening and it shipped yesterday.

I spoke to the lady on the phone Monday and they said they are expecting another 20 or so in by the end of the week. They were super easy to work with.

When I canceled my REI order last night, they said that they are going to send me a hard check to deposit into my bank for the amount of my dividend that I applied to the watch. So this is really a win-win all around.

This is the question I keep asking them (garmin) with only replays of "This quarter" or "Soon". I have a 30% off with them I want to use for the 5x so I'm sitting here sitting on my hands while everyone gets to play with their new 5x's.

Looks like the regular F5 has flipped back to 5-8 weeks...... up from 3-5 weeks yesterday. Hope this isn't a sign for the 5x.....:mad:

I ordered the 5x metal band from REI 3/17. Been on "back order" status ever since. Received email couple days ago requiring me to contact them if I wanted to keep the order. When I called, they said still looks like shipping 3/31, for early April delivery.

BTW, I have a 20% coupon, but other post mentioned it's not valid for GPS devices:-(

I tried the 20% coupon and it did not work on the site, no GPS devices for sure.

CT 5X with metal band

Looks like my order is shipping today from a 2/6 pre-order. Hopefully arrives by Saturday. No ETA on tracking yet.
