Just like an aggravating, but anxious kid.

I was happy with my 405, then the 410, then maybe 605, 610, F2, now F3. F3 works for the most part. Its crashed on me. Its locked up on me. But I still like it. It does much more than I need, but I can live with that. the 5x does even more than I need. But I dont know if I'd like maps or not. But I do like the idea of more memory and faster processor. That spells future proof usually. I might not like mapping. Ok. so I may not use it. I might not like the OHRM, though I hope it works. If not. So be it. I really really hope it wont lock up during my next 50miler, 100k or 100miler. That really blows. It blows that I cant charge it while its on my wrist. But eh... I can hold it while charging, or faster it to my pack. Ultras are hard, holding a while during recharge. Cake. I'm excited. I'm prepping my F3 for resale, hoping to reduce the chunk the F5x is setting me back. But my preorder is in.

I will get a discount if I order direct from Garmin, so will need to wait until Garmin's Fenix 5X site shows it is available...

Months ago, Garmin's Fenix 5X site showed "Estimated availability is 5 - 8 weeks" with a box to enter your email to be informed when it became available.

Then it changed to "Estimated availability is 3 - 5 weeks" with the same email box.

...and this forum showed up and people started receiving their 5X from various retailers

Then Garmin's site switched to just the email box...

And stayed that way for a few weeks.

Now it again shows "Estimated availability is 3 - 5 weeks"

I even just tried to add a new thread with same info, asking if anyone knows about any production delays, etc -- but the moderators have not yet approved that thread... Grrrr

All I want to do is buy your watch Garmin -- why won't you let me?!??!?

got mine from best buy online 5 days after ordering it.... LOVE this watch.. Band is not as comfortable as the 3 HR band but its still a good fit.

Ordered my "Slate Gray fēnix 5X Sapphire with Metal Band" direct from Garmin on June 9th and my delivery date is July 6th

Thanks for the update ThorAsgard -- I'm wondering if you are in the US? Garmin's US Site for the Fenix 5X with metal band is not currently showing a "buy" button -- just a box for email notification and a note saying "Estimated availability os 1-2 weeks"

Yes! I even actually got an email from Garmin saying it is officially available! (processing time 1-2 weeks, so who knows when it will actually ship, but still -- hurray!)
