I had a dream about Fenix 5X

I had a dream about Fenix 5X. I saw the different titles of threads and glimpses of posts. They were:

1. Bezel scratches - I cannot believe the scuffs, dings and scratches on this new toy. What a magnet!
2. Defective strap detached - F5X somewhere in the mountains. And I can't return it to REI for obvious reasons!
3. Maps did not load after update - I now have a upsized F5S.
4. Crazy altimeter reading makes F5X think I'm on a giant rollercoaster.
5. Disappointed in GPS - takes forever to lock, inaccurate.
6. Weather widget - Waiting for data, huh?
7. What was updated this morning - anyone knows?
8. HR - Resting HR way too high, also can I determine sampling rate?
9. Active calories way too high - I didn't run the marathon
10. Steps counted while driving
11. Sleep - I was charging, not sleeping.
12. Smart alarm feature request
13. Why no music storage with 12GB, would have been nice to pair with Bluetooth headphones
14. Battery did not last long. Where's that brochure again?
15. No notification from my phone ....
16. Should I upgrade to F6, F6s, F6X, F6s+, F6X+, F6+, F6÷, or the flagship F6$

Then I woke up, no, not to the smart alarm on my F3HR

Garmin stopped in Time...

My F3 saphy(bundle) is broken(under 20 months) for no apparent reason.For a 500$+ watch it could at least outlast my mobile,now I,m thinking polar or tomtom to use for the next year or so, till i hear more of the horror stories and user beta testing or until they get the
Fenix 5s/5/5x right or maybe till Fenix 6 comes out.

My dream:
I have sold my Fenix 3 and Epix to soften the financial impact of buying the Fenix 5X (although I don't need sapphire or OHR and prefer a silver bezel).
Two weeks later, when I have already scratched the gray 5X's bezel beyond all recognition so I can't return it, Garmin announces the budget version of the 5X with mineral glass, no OHR and a silver bezel.

That's MY dream, but with a grey bezel...😜.

My dream is a Xiaomi Amazfit, grey bezel, 35h with gps, optical HR , touch screen (fluid not like epix), gps with good accuracy, 4gb to play music , BLE 4.0 , IPX67 , interchangeable watchbands, gps+ glonass, good software very similar to Garmin's new gen. , and best of all <150$ . Garmin still stoped in the time.

That's MY dream, but with a grey bezel...��.

I took a look at that. It is ugly, no way to wear it 24x7 at the office. Does not seem to support running or cycling sensors or external temperature sensor. Missing barometer, alti and compass and most likely does not support a heart rate belt with internal memory for swimming. As well as Heart rate belt for any real activity tracking with proper HRV (Heart Rate Variability) And I do not think it will support HRV with the optical as no one else does that yet.

So for some it might be a cool gadget, but I do not see anyone even half seriously tracking their activities getting one. Unless all it is is to track runs.

Ok,and... now tell me difference between it and Fenix3 Hr or Epix? External temperature, nice...is very usefull !
Barometer of Fenix3Hr or Epix run good? Correctly? ... pleeeease....

I'm almost tempted to get hold of one of those just to see whether it actually performs anywhere near its claims; nobody seems to be selling it in the UK, though. Nobody else has a watch out there that claims to do better than two-thirds of its advertised GPS time (which is 30 or 35 hours depending which site you read) apart from in UltraTrac or equivalent. Unless they have a magic chip which uses far less power than those everyone else is using, which is obviously unlikely. Supposed to have a 280mAh battery - slightly less than the 300mAh in the F3. I'm deeply skeptical about getting double the F3's GPS time out of it.

As far as I'm concerned it's smoke and mirrors until I see a real world test from a trustworthy source. All I can see so far is a bit of commentary on reddit - certainly none of that supports astounding GPS battery life, or quality for that matter.
