I admit it, I have small wrists. I've worn the 42mm (the larger size) of the Apple Watch and I think it looks like the right size for me so I am thinking the 5S will be the best choice (42 also vs 47/51 for the 5/5X) for me. For a watch I would wear most the time and likely even at night the smaller size brings advantages in weight too, any other men thinking to get the 5S? The Garmin site makes such a big deal over the 5S being their new design for women that it gives me pause but I think that many mens watches are 42mm or even smaller in the real world...
I preordered the 5S Sapphire/Black. I prefer the smaller. size. Doesn't matter to me what/who they're targeting or not targeting when I wear it it's a man's watch, now, if it were pink then that would make a difference. I'm currently using a 735XT and like the size, I also had a 3HR and that size was ok for me although I prefer smaller watches. I'm also using the Apple Watch series 2, 38mm and that one too is a man's watch :D I can't help it though I love gadgets/computers, cars(over 400 ponies out the door for midrange power) and love living in times like now that's really making life a whole lot of fun!

Actually, I personally didn't like the look of the 5S too much, but this man/woman issue would be my last problem with it.
The 5S is still pretty big and high. If one doesn't take the obvious more feminine case/band combinations (light leather), IMO no one in real life could get the idea that this is a "ladys watch". Looked pretty masculine to me :-)
That means that the Forerunner 735xt is also a "women's" watch, just like the 235, Vivosmart HR+, and the Vivomove.
Nah. I see that as nothing more than watches that women might like because of the size, not watches that are specifically made for women.
Though I agree that the 5s would be a great watch for males as well as females, I can't help but wonder why at the top of the screen just below the bezel on the 5 and 5x there is the Garmin triangle but on the 5s they decided to put a circle symbol. And the band of the 5s is almost like poka dots, where as the bands for the 5 and 5x are a little more simple and rugged looking. If Garmin wasn't appealing to a specific market with the 5s then why make those subtle changes in the 5s?
Ya'll don't forget to consider the length of the band. It's shorter than most other garmin watches. I would say a 7 inch wrist is the limit on wrist size to be able to close it comfortably.
