I think it will be good to have one central place to have the latest news people here about the updated release date. DCR said it looks like early March. The garmin site says 5-8 weeks but thats the default time on all new products. Everywhere I read it says "By end of Q1" which is the end of March. Rei still doesnt have it listed yet either. Has anyone heard anything more specific?
I just placed an order with them for a Fenix 5 Sapphire (black), will let you know here on the progress.
After having charged my credit card yesterday I got an email from them today that the item was "sold out" but was expected to be in stock within a few weeks.
Their web page still says they will have it in stock by tomorrow, I guess that counter will just increase weekly.

I hope they only charged a small deposit. It would be pretty poor of them to charge to full amount for something that isn't going to be shipped for weeks (and which looks like was clearly incorrectly listed).
Clevertraining UK charge the full amount upon pre-order, which seems a bit excessive indeed...especially since they no longer do that at Clevertraining US according to a post at DCR.
I placed my pre-order in January through Clever Training US, and have not been charged yet.
From US Clever Training's FAQ:
When will I be charged for a pre-order?
We’ll charge your card once the item has arrived to our warehouse and is being prepared for shipping.
Yes, you have to wonder why they can't do the same at Clevertraining UK...besides they show the Paypal logo on their site but you can't pay via Paypal :confused:
