Release date thread

I think it will be good to have one central place to have the latest news people here about the updated release date. DCR said it looks like early March. The garmin site says 5-8 weeks but thats the default time on all new products. Everywhere I read it says "By end of Q1" which is the end of March. Rei still doesnt have it listed yet either. Has anyone heard anything more specific?
  • Went on a 48 mile bike ride today and pimped the yellow band.. Like I said above, I didn't think I was going to like the yellow band and figured it would just collect dust in the box but I really kinda dig it!

Snapped a few photos at the turn around point of my ride today..

  • is this a 5 slate grey or a 5 sapphire black???

The second band with the black/black sapphire F5 is a bright yellow.
Here are some pics, with a FR235 for scale: http://imgur.com/a/4pQ9r

    Size

These pictures of the F5 on people's wrists makes me realize I need the F5S.

yup, no way I could pull off the fenix 5 on my slim 6.25 in wrist except when working out when i don't think the hugely oversized look is a big deal. however i want to wear this 24/7 and not look out of place with business wear and the 5 would be totally absurd on me. plus i don't do workouts that require more than 3-5 hours of GPS at a time or hikes that take over 8 hours so it isn't like battery life is that big of a concern if i'm being honest with myself. 42mm is a very standard men's watch size with nearly all rolex watches being 38-42mm.

It does look big for a 5. I am 5'7" and I am wearing it now. Cant imagine before the 5 they are all 5X size. I will keep it as I need it for run/walk/ride bicycle.
  • The 5s seems to have lugs that stick out as much as on the 5. I've measured the lug to lug length at 56mm on the F5 (50mm on the FR235), can anyone with a 5s do the same ?
