I think it will be good to have one central place to have the latest news people here about the updated release date. DCR said it looks like early March. The garmin site says 5-8 weeks but thats the default time on all new products. Everywhere I read it says "By end of Q1" which is the end of March. Rei still doesnt have it listed yet either. Has anyone heard anything more specific?
Wonders when B&H is going to get the 5 Sapphire. I am getting this.
Hey guys, just joined and am awaiting my 5 and 5 x that I ordered from Cotswold. I will only be keeping one but they suggested ordering two as I was undecided. The 5 has shown up but I have noticed it's in black as it's a sapphire unit. What's putting me off is that there is no black metal band whereas the 5 x does have that option. Also no red accents on the black 5. Was looking for some advice or if anyone knew about a black link band coming out? Cheers
Well, Christmas came early.. My Sapphire F5 from CleverTraining US arrived today! I ordered mine on Jan 4th, so I assume I was one of the first in line.
I'm upgrading from a FR235, and my first impression was how much heavier this is. I have to wear it a notch tigher than I would with the FR235 because it's so top heavy. Size wise, It's not all that much bigger than the 235 at all. It's an absolutely beautiful device.
I'll take it for a long run tomorrow and post back.

Got my shipping confirmation today form Paragons... they forgot to get my order out yesterday :(
At least I will get it by Tuesday....looking forward to it.
