I think it will be good to have one central place to have the latest news people here about the updated release date. DCR said it looks like early March. The garmin site says 5-8 weeks but thats the default time on all new products. Everywhere I read it says "By end of Q1" which is the end of March. Rei still doesnt have it listed yet either. Has anyone heard anything more specific?
I think you're right, I ordered mine from Cotswold early evening of 15th Jan but they didn't have enough for mine from this first bunch. I should be pretty much next in line.
Similar here. I ordered Fenix 5s sapphire from Cotswold on 26th.
Just a heads up, I found the 5x available in the US. Its a small shop in Colorado call Evergreen Mountain Sports. I just placed and order and it will ship out Monday. They said they had 9 left in stock after my order. No tax either.

I have a 5S on pre-order with them which says Order status: In processing
Sorry to bring bad news - In Processing is what it stated for me for the 8 weeks while in pre-order. The next status is sold. Nothing in-between although internally Cotsworld has other statuses they can share it you online chat with them.
Saw the comment regarding Paragon Sports yesterday. Placed my order for 5 Sapphire around 10:30 EST last night (3/16) and it just got shipped. Guess St. Patrick's Day does bring some luck. Cancelled my Amazon and B&H orders I had out there. Free shipping and scheduled to be delivered Tuesday.
I have spotted two Fenix 5S in the wild today, a black/silver bezel one and a white/silver bezel one (as well as a Fenix 5 grey off to the right). Location was Machsport in Austria, Europe.
