I think it will be good to have one central place to have the latest news people here about the updated release date. DCR said it looks like early March. The garmin site says 5-8 weeks but thats the default time on all new products. Everywhere I read it says "By end of Q1" which is the end of March. Rei still doesnt have it listed yet either. Has anyone heard anything more specific?
Bad news for cotsworld pre-orders. I enlighted their customer service that their competitors in UK have received their first batch but they still like to repeat their mid april message which is their latest update from garmin which was weeks ago. After trying really hard to convince them to get an update from garmin I think I got through and it seems like they are going to try to get an update from their sales rep. I dont understand why they are so afraid of calling garmin to get an update. Its not a big deal if mid april is still ON, all i expect is them to stay updated.
To be fair to Cotswold, the release of the Fenix 5 is pretty insignificant - I imagine just about every day they're receiving new product lines which may cause just as much excitement amongst different groups of enthusiasts. So the fact that maybe 10 people have phoned them about some new sports watch might not be enough (to them) to be pushing their Garmin rep's for updates. Don't expect our excitement and desperation to be shared by them!

I doubt Cotswold sell much that is more expensive than a Fenix 5. I don't know what the margin is, but based on the fact many people are offering £50 off with a discount code, it must be substantial.
