Just thought I'd get in first...
Sorry.
I was also scratching my head at this.
It is true that I do max 42K runs so no need for charge on the go... but why deviate from a great design (the cradle)?
If someone develops a OEM un-official cradle solution for this watch...they will make a nice sum.
the primary question is still: Can it actually recharge during use. That is key. if yes. then we can figure out how to get creative, since it obviously cannot be on your wrist. but maybe around shoulder strap on a hydration pack. around the short part of the neck of a handhelf bottle. In your handle even. F3 could be almost fully charged in less than 1 hour. 45mins of should if I recall. As long as if can recharge. I dont mind the hour inconvenience of holding, are stuffing the F5 into the upper pocket of my UD SJ 2.0 vest
I run with a Fenix 3 with Titanium band. It weights 124 gram. No problem for me.
I'm curious as to whether Garmin has changed up the hardware on the altimeter-barometer sensors.
Mine (under warranty) continue to provide erroneous readings. Any one have inside intel?
I returned two Fenix 3 HR's because of this problem. I will not buy a new one unless they fix this issue. But if they do, I'll be first in line to buy the Fenix 5X.
