I bought an almost new Fenix 5s plus SS, it is my favorite watch. it's 19.30., I'll test it, but I want to know the procedure for returning to 18.00. and where I can download the 18.00 software.
Preferably search the forum for the side-load package for beta v19.xx. Beta packages always contain the last public release for a rollback. Installation instructions are contained in the package too, as well as in the post publishing the package. Use the search function at the top of this forum.
Another solution is looking up the folder C:\ProgramData\Garmin\CoreService\Downloads\PrimaryFirmware\ (if it is a Windows computer, not sure where it is on a Mac). If you used GE previously, there will be diverse past firmware versions. Use the same steps for the installation as described in the beta firmware announcements.
Please note that the downgrading will perform a reset to factory defaults. You will have to reconfigure the watch anew.
Also, you have to disable the auto-update in the System setting of the watch, otherwise it will update to the latest version again.
