How to avoid gesture light activation during nighttime?

When I'm wearing my Fenix 5S Plus during nighttime the light activates when the gesture is detected.

I would like to add a function which blocks the detection of light gesture during nighttime (which is saved in my userdata) so the light would not activate when I#m turning around in bed.

I don't want to use the DND funktion, because I use "Sleep as android" during nighttime.

Any suggestions?

For your Fenix 5 Plus generation, there were slightly different options to what then came later that gives more specific set sleep control. Short of using DND, your backlight will still be able to come…

For your Fenix 5 Plus generation, there were slightly different options to what then came later that gives more specific set sleep control. Short of using DND, your backlight will still be able to come on unless you turn off your backlight under the System > Backlight > Not During Activity menu or use the DND feature.

Hey Garmin - Chris that's the way I'm using at this time. Is there no way to add a function which simply disables the gesture detection based on specific given time?

For your specific Fenix 5 Plus watch series, there is not. A During Sleep menu for the backlight was first introduced in our Fenix 6 series and continues as an option in both our Fenix 7 series and the recently released Fenix 7 Pro series.

Okay, is this option also available in the Epix Gen2 / Pro Series? Only asking due to avoid purchasing the wrong device....

I have confirmed if you buy either the Epix 2 or the new Epix Pro series, the gesture feature is not enabling the backlight during your set sleep window.
