Fenix 5 Charging

I have a Fenix 5 Plus, which I have owned for the past 3 years, I haven't been wearing it a whole lot due to losing the charger for it. I recently got a new charger for the watch, and am now trying to get it to charge but it wont. At first it showed the charge Icon. Yet after 30min I was unable to get the watch to turn on. I have put it on a wall block, and plugged it in but the only thing that shwos up is the Green tirangle then it turns off. What is the issue here? and is there a fix?

  • Upload a photo of the charging pins here
(those who are behind the clock)

Use macro, zoom well. They could be oxidized or worn out.

  • The photo is blurred.

You have to visually check the first pin on the left and the last one on the right. They must be perfect.
(must not be oxidized or corroded)

Also check the contact pins of the charging cable.

P.S. You must make sure that the charging cable is original.
If you have left the watch turned off for a long time with a flat battery, it may have been damaged.

  • I have bought some cheep adapter from usb c to garmin on allegro (polish "version" of amazon/aliexpress) and it works for charge perfectly always. My friends have same experience with other garmins.
