TopoActive Europe 2021.20 : no new update ?

Garmin used to be great with TopoActive map updates, usually providing 2 updates per year. But this seems to have changed unfortunately. No update for the european map since more than one year. It also seems like the 2022.20 update was skipped for all regions. Good that we have the option to use 3rd party maps.

I hope they will not decrease their update cycle to the one we know from their Garmin Explore and Garmin Connect maps. These are also based on openstreetmap data, but were not updated for years, at least not since 2019.

But, this is outdated info right? Many people have started receiving 2022.10 as seen in https://forums.garmin.com/outdoor-recreation/outdoor-recreation/f/fenix-7-series/317523/what-is-the-latest-topoactive-europe-map#pifragment-1292=2 so Garmin should probably update the link you mentioned?

Now the 2022.20 update is released for all regions but again not for Europe. European update 2022.10 was available for a short time on 04.Jan. but it looks like it was pulled again. Would really be nice to have a statement from Garmin about the lack of TopoActive Europe map updates. Could you please gather some info for us Garmin - Chris?

I have no direct information on when the next Europe map will be released to the earlier generations of watches.

One thing to keep in mind when it comes to a TopoActive map update - unless you have personally relocated to a brand new subdivision that has only been in place under 2 years, those are the roads missing between TopoActive map updates.

Something to consider:

- The TopoActive map that came on your watch when you first bought it, whether 3+ years ago for a Fenix 5 Plus series or 5+ years ago for a Fenix 5X watch - for 99.5% of everyone, the original TopoActive map will take care of where you use your watch. The roads in your area have been in place for many years.

Is the TopoActive different per device? The link you posted earlier just shows the most recent version. I have a F7-SS myself but I do realise that we're in the F5 thread here. At similair thread to this is in the F7 dept as well.
