Unable to locate spotify in connect iq store for my fenix 5x

I have a fenix 5x and a spotify premium account and have downloaded garmin connect and garmin connect iq to my android smartphone. When I try to download Spotify from connect iq, however, Spotify doesn't show up among the download options on my smartphone. Please advise. Thanks.

The Spotify Connect IQ app only lists Fenix 5+ (and newer) as compatible, and to my knowledge Fenix 5x (non-plus version) does not support music storage?
