I had a sticking button on my 5+. I tried the suggestions of washing the watch in dish soap / washing up liquid but that only lasted for a day or two before becoming worse. In desperation I tried a squirt of WD40 and pressed the button a few times and it was good as new. Two months later it is still perfect.
