silicone braclet cracking

Why is the silicone braclet so crappy quality?

I have bought new ones three times in a couple of years for my Fenix 5x plus.

always cracking in the same place, where the pin hooks on to the hole.

This is not good enough in this price range i think?

I've never had a band crack although TBH I only use 3rd party quickfit bands from eBay.

The only time I have seen a silicone watch band crack was on a reasonably expensive citizen watch that after several years in on the shelf I decide to wear whilst Garmin were exchanging my Fenix, the first I knew of it was when my watch fell off (luckily whilst at home).
